Default The days of cabover trucks

Here are some cab over tractors (COE) many had the pleasure of driving back
in the day. Some of these were great back breakers.
I kind laugh at some of the old truck I drove when I was a kid.

Great pix.reminds me of my '81 I H cabover that I bought new and owned for 7 years--short wheelbase spring suspension and no p/s. Traded it in on a long nose walk-in air ride----thought I was in heaven!!!!!

Default Re: The days of cabover trucks

I only have 18 yrs in but I feel blessed to have driven cabovers early on in my career, glad to be part of that history, never assigned one just sub trucks rentals from Ryder, Freightliner and International were the only models I have driven, I can't say it was pleasent but I'm glad I got to do it, Dad lost his sales job after he went ito business for himself, that went bust so while he was waiting on something else he hired with Werner, brought home a Pete cabover, man that thing was nice, he drove it till he got back into sales.
